Have theblacksmith make the crank of iron bar three-quarters ofan inch in diameter in the same shape as shown in K (), with ends flattened to fit the plate L, which should befastened to spoke B (Fig. 6) and kept in place by ironpin N, run through staples or screw-eyes in spokes C andD (Fig. 6).
