Besides this pine with stiff leaves two together in a cluster, there are a few dwarf forms of the White Pine — Piniis Strbbus — with rather soft leaves five together in elongated .sheaths. The finest of these is prob- ably Dwarf White Pine (585), var. brevifblia, also called ntoa. It is a dwarf cushion-shaped little bush rarely over 4 feet high but spreading out in a broad flat compact tuft of glossy green spray. This is splendid for the lawn. [Seeds; twig cuttings.].
