151012-N-ZZ999-001 SASEBO, Japan (Oct. 12, 2015) - Builder 2nd Class Joe Hophan, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, inspects and attaches cathodic protection (zincs) to the bottom of a mooring system, which protects all of the connecting hardware attaching the buoy to the riser chain. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Charlie (CDDC) is conducting routine inspections of fleet moorings for Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo.
