Newham, London, UK. 6th August 2012. The gates of London Pleasure Gardens in Newham, East London closes and goes into administration after being open for only six weeks. Designed as a new arts quarter, it was intended to capture an Olympic audience and visitors. It had backing from Mayor Boris Johnson and a £3 million loan from Newham Council.
