YOKOSUKA, Japan (Feb. 19, 2021) Lt. Cmdr. Patrick McClernon, a native of Jacksonville, Florida reported to Commander, Submarine Group 7 this week after a successful tour aboard USS Boise (SSN 764) in Norfolk, Virginia. McClernon who moved to Japan with his wife and child will serve as Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans, Exercises & Engagements (N5/N7), managing and improving on Navy submarine alliances and partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region. An avid runner, he is excited to be stationed in Japan and hopes to see the Japan marathon.
