Each year there is a tribal gathering at Myitchina Northern tribes attend in their tradtional costumes for games ,tribal dancing and parades .It is a very colourful occasion with even the local military in the way of generals joining in the dancing. Part of the costume which is made up of silver is part of the girls dowry.
