Shanghai, satellite photo, 2015. With a population of some 24 million people, Shanghai (lower left corner) is China's most populated city. To the north of the city the Yangtse River releases sediment (light brown) into the East China Sea. Taken on the 12th March 2015 by the Landsat 8 satellite.
