I started this little plant just four sea-sons ago, by purchasing for $ two colo-nies of bees in old hives and transferring tonew lO-frame hives. When I started to buy bees I made upmy mind to buy cheap, for I was afraidthey would all fly away and leave me withthe bag to hold. I now have 20 good colo-nies in 10-frame hives, 50 large supers allfilled with good combs, one new Root-Cowanextractor, one 60-gallon and one 25-gallonhoney-tanks, one hot-water uncapping tank,queen-excluders, bee-escapes, knife, and allthe other necessary articles that go with thebusiness; also 10 winter cases, that are take-down and interchangeable, and can bepacked away in the summer. Now I dont care to set any value on thisoutfit, but what I want to show is that it isall profit. The bees are the owners, itstheirs, they made it. I keep an expense andreceipt account for them.
