A wine shop on a street known as Decumano Massimo in the remains of the ancient Roman city of Herculaneum, southeast of Naples, Italy. When the Mount Vesuvius volcano erupted in AD 79, Herculaneum and Pompeii were buried in ash and other volcanic products known as a pyroclastic flow, which preserved much of what is visible today.
