(Female.) narrow cleft between the sartorius and the gracilis, continues its super- ficial course and ends by joining the external pudendal vein. M. GRACILIS.—The gracilis^ is a broad, flat muscle covering the greater part of the medial aspect of the thigh. Its origin is from the pelvic symphysis, the tendon of insertion of the straight abdominal muscle where this is attached to the pecten of the pubis, and the accessory ligament of the hip joint. Some fibres arise from a tendinous septum.
