HEMOPHILIC ARTHOPATHY

Comparison between a healthy elbow and a hemophilic arthropathy of the elbow (hemarthrosis) in sagittal section. - on the right and on the left of the articular surface of the humerus are located the osteophytes - at the level of the articular surface of the humerus is located a geode (hole). - in the articular space of the elbow is represented a pinch of the articular line space; - in the middle of the humerus is represented a resorption of the olecranian fossa; - the darker area at the level of the articular surfaces represents subchondral osteocondensation. - we observe an epiphyseal hypertrophy at the level of the articular surfaces in addition to the osteophytes.
