Completed around 1350 ADthe Great House (Casa Grande) is the largest remaining structure of the Ancestral People of the Sonoran Desert. Its walls face the four cardinal points of the compassand openings in its walls align with the setting sun at the summer solstice and with the sun and moon at specific times.
