A German cavalry broadsword, 18th century Straight, double-edged blade with broad fullers, and etched decoration on both sides: an arm holding a sword, a sun disk, and a crescent moon. Heavy brass hilt with a knuckle-bow as well as two guard bars on the obverse side and one on the reverse side. The grip also of brass surmounted with a cast lion head pommel. Blade with minimal staining. One obverse guard bar is broken at the knuckle-bow, one has a slight crack. Length 112 cm.
