Max- imum body weight appeared in this group of birds about April 1, and maximum egg weight appeared about February 1 when the birds laid eggs weighing grams or ounces to the dozen. The summer decline in body weight began with May and a decline in egg weight began with April. Body weight declined until August and egg weight declined until July.
