This bracket, when in use, is bolted to thelink bracket nearer the emery wheel stand, two holesbeing drilled in the nearer link bracket to coincide withthe bolt holes in the link block bracket. The emery wheel is driven by a belt from the counter-shaft above and is so arranged that it may be raised andlowered by a hand crank and verticle feed screw. Anoticeable feature of this machine is the small amountof space which it covers, as compared with other devicesfor the same work, which we have seen. The machinewas devised by Mr. James F. DeVoy, mechanical en-gineer of the & St. P. Ry., through whose courtesywe are enabled to present this description. D. & H. To Use Electric Power.
