Bateleur eagle (Terathopius ecaudatus) in flight. This eagle spends most of the day in the air, gliding in search of birds, reptiles, mammals and large insects. It lives in open woodland, scrub and savannah in Africa south of the Sahara Desert. Photographed in the Kalahari regions of South Africa and Botswana.
