The Salvation Army has a membership of million worldwide, employs more than 107,000 people. The new international headquarters is a far more modest affair than either of these Scott buildings, or Wren's cathedral, and yet, as General Larson points out, its location between St Paul's and Tate Modern is pretty much perfect.
