The moon gate, Zhu Weiqing house, Jianshui Ancient Town, Yunnan Province, China
The interior of the Zhu Family Garden and Mansion is filled with interesting courtyards and circular doors (moon gates), with some lovely bonsai trees. The structure, built by Zhu Weiqing, is a notable example of a Qing Dynasty (1611-1912) residential house. It is located in Jianshui Ancient Town, one of the famous cultural towns of China, with a history dating back 1200 years. The house contains a number of beautifully carved folding doors filled with animals and flowers.
