Nordkapp is the farthest place north that can be reached by car. It is 307metres high cliff reaching above the Arctic Ocean. Though Nordkapp is promoted as the northernmost point in Europe, it is not true, the neighbouring point Knivsjellodden point is (4780feet) further north. The midnight sun can be seen from here between 14May and 29July. It was named by an Englishman, Richard Chancellor, in 1553.
