Ezekias Sickbed, Theodoor Koning, After Jacobus Buys, 1780 print While Ezekias - King of Judah - is on his sickbed, the prophet Isaiah points him to the sundial that can be seen through the window. It is visible on how the shade of the sun returns ten degrees. With this sign of God, Isaiah proves that, despite the deadly disease he suffers, Ezekias will get better within three days, will have a child and will have another 15 years to live. This print is an illustration in the second chapter of the tenth book of 'All the works of Flavius Josephus'. Amsterdam paper engraving
