Paris, France, Presidential Elections 2012, Candidates Representatives at GLBT Meeting, Act Up Paris, to discuss Health and Social Issues, Discussing Prison Problems
Act Up Paris, Fighting the AIDS Epidemic in France since 25 years, invited the French Presidential candidates, representatives, to a public debate on health and Social issues, ignored by the major media during the campaign. Only the parties of the Left were invited due to the fact that the Right doesn't agree on any of the issues that the Left together agrees on. Matters of the rights of Prisoners, Prostitutes, legalizing drugs, Immigrants without documents, were all discussed. Act Up takes the extreme position in order to start the debate, like "Empty all the Prisons", Legalize all Immigrants without documents", "Stop the War on Drugs (Vienna Declaration, 2010)" and the different parties tried to meet them, as best they could. Pascale Le Néouannic, Conseillère régionale d'Île-de-France et Secrétaire nationale du Parti de Gauche, David Belliard , Responsable santé de la campagne d’Eva Joly Gaël Diaferia, Commission LGBTI du NPA
