Col. Douglas Copeland, outgoing Project Manager for Soldier Maneuver and Precision Targeting (PM SMPT), receives the Legion of Merit from Brig. Gen. Christopher Schneider, Program Executive Officer (PEO) Soldier, during a relinquishment of charter ceremony held on Fort Belvoir, July 14. The ceremony marked the disestablishment of PM SMPT after more than 20 years of providing Soldiers with capabilities designed to enhance lethality, mobility and survivability.
