Penmon, Anglesey: Penmon Point lighthouse, Perch Rock & Puffin Island at sunrise, looking ENE across Conwy Bay to the Great Orme at Llandudno.

Penmon Lighthouse, Perch Rock and Puffin Island at sunrise, looking ENE across Conwy Bay to the Great Orme at Llandudno. The island, also known as Ynys Seiriol or Priestholm, was the site of an early Christian monastery founded by St Seiriol in the sixth century. There was also a Medieval monastery, twinned with Penmon Priory, from which the twelfth century church tower survives. Conwy Bay is the traditional setting for the drowned landscape of Llys Helig, the Court of wicked ruler Helig ab Glannog.
