GULF OF OMAN (April 16, 2022) The guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) fires a Phalanx close-in-weapon-system (CIWS) during a live-fire exercise in the Gulf of Oman, April 16. Gridley is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations to help ensure maritime security in the Middle East region.
