A. armatus occurs in ostracod assemblages 4b, 5b, and 7, but is consistent, and in relatively large numbers (for the family) only in 5b and 7. It is not possible to say precisely where its preference lay, but apparently it was most successful in deep water (?300->500 m outer shelf to upper slope) (Table 4).
