It is estimated that the damage will be fully $3,000, partially covered by insurance. Lawrence Hay, of East Providence, has been busy with funeral work and last week had several orders for flow- ers for the grammar school graduations in his section. W. H. O'Connor has been confined to his house with a severe cold. •T. J. King, of Thornton, who dislo- cated his shoulder by a fall recently, is able to be about again. W. N. Craig, of Boston, will address the Rhode Island Horticultural Society at its regular meeting February 21. F. W. Smith, of Warren, will open his greenhouses at East Providence in a short time, under the management of William
