Arno Breker created this portrait on the occasion of Hitler's 50th birthday in 1939. A smaller version (92 mm diameter) was cast in iron by the Prussian Mining and Smelter Company Gleiwitz, but only a small number of the larger bronze edition with a diameter of 43 cm came into production.
