During the eight years of his management the business has been con-siderably enlarged and is now considered one of the finest wholesale andretail chemist and druggist stores in Java, where every article known tothe profession is kept in stock. Mr. Popta added a mineral water factory,the first in the Island, a large steam boiler supplying the distilled waterand two 10 motors creating the necessary power for the whole of the works, including the sterilising bottle-washing machinery.
