Penitents masked with heavy crosses go in pilgrimage to the small village of Roncesvalles, on the border with France, are the inhabitants of Valle de Arce and the town of Oroz-Betelu (Navarra, North of Spain). The “Pilgrimage of the Cruises” is celebrated since the sixteenth century, although it should be celebrated even before.
