James Allen, an Lancaster, Calif. native, conducts a dismounted patrol of the Sharana District Center bazaar with his platoon’s Afghan Uniformed Police partners. Allen, a squad leader with B company, 3rd Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, part of Task Force Blackhawk based out of Grafenwoehr, Germany, is working to build strong ties with their AUP counterparts after assuming control of Paktika Province Afghanistan earlier this month.
