The picture dated July 19 shows melted tarmac on the A14 in Cambridgeshire. East Cambs Police tweeted: “No, the A14 is not being turned into a skatepark … unfortunately the road surface isn’t coping well in this heat. While it might look fun it’s potentially dangerous.” The police said Highways are assessing the surface on the A14 at Bottisham and advising motorists to approach with caution.
