Near the hotel, and part of the hotelproperty, is a modern roller skating rink, which is a par-ticularly favored resort for the cottagers, young and old,arotind the South Shore. When we secure large picnicparties hereafter, which will require hot meals, or hotelaccommodations in addition to the park privileges at BigIsland Park, we will be able to take care of them at TonkaBay, and, by putting on a boat service between Tonka Bay. STEAMBOAT DOCKS AT EXCELSIOR and Big Island Park, we can shuttle our patrons back andforth between the hotel and the island in a very few min-utes, and give them all the variety of comforts and accom-modations they can possibly ask for. We will thus havethe business of entertaining all the transient people we taketo the lake, and with the equipment we will have on handwe will be in splendid shape to do so. There are also finepicnic grounds around Tonka Bay Hotel, and those whodo not care to make the water trip to Big Island Park— and there are a few of them—will be able to enjoy the cartrip to Tonka Bay and play baseball, roller skate, danceand picnic to their hearts content, with everything to suittheir taste, and still they Dont go near the water.
