Britains first electric railway Volks railway on Brighton seafront


Volks Railway Driver "Victoria Grant" manoeuvers newly restored Volks Car No 9 built in 1910 out of the Paston Place depot in readiness for the days service between "Palace Pier and Black Rock" "The car is one of seven in service on Volks, the worlds first electric railway. It is seen through the wooden" "Wheel Pattern" used to cast its new wheels.
