(See cut.) ^ oz., 25 cts 10 COSMOS Beautiful autumn-blooming plants. They produce thousands of artistic flowers in pure white, pink and crimson shades, furnishing an abundance of cut blooms for autumn decorations when other flowers are scarce. Should be sown in Spring in the open ground, when danger of frost is past, or the seed may be started under cover and afterwards transplanted. Plant not less than 18 inches apart in rows or in masses in beds. When the plants are about a foot high the tops should be pinched out to induce a bushy growth. They prefer a rather light, not too rich soil, but do well almost anywhere. The sorts offered below produce the finest flowers, but bloom late, and for points north of Philadelphia it is safer to get the extra early flowering type. Mammoth Perfection.
