There is a visitor centre at Seallam, which is situated on the right, a short distance from the junction of the A859 the minor road to Taobh Tuath (Northton). The village, which was founded in 1902, but is in a locality which has had habitation since Neolithic times. Ruined church, Teampall na h-Uidhe This site has long been associated with Christianity, but this building dates back to 1528 when it was rebuilt by the Chief of the Macleods. It was used for worship until the 1700s. Continue following the coast, keeping above the cliffs as far as the headland, Braightaisgeir. This was ground once worked by people from the now deserted township of Taobh Deas, which nestled at the foot of Ceapabhal.
