The town records of Hingham contain many entries showingliberal disbursements for the benefit of such of these people aswere in want; and in the volumes devoted to the French Neutralsin the State archives, are several accounts allowed by the Provinceof Massachusetts Bay to the town for money expended in theirbehalf.
