Stokes 1743-B-56 Here is another of the nine states of the important Bonner map of Boston. The dedication to Governor Jonathan Belcher that appears on this seventh state was first seen on the fifth state issued in 1733. On the first state (entry 79), drawn and issued in 1722, the legend was added in manuscript. Here it was incised on the plate by Francis Dewing. Print bears dedication to Jonathan Belcher.
