Sgt. Bernard Levey took photograph 42148 on March 1, 1919, showing the BLED visual sending station used at the Signal School. The photograph highlights the portable possibilities of a French lamp, used by Signalers Cpl. Brecker and Harmon. Due to limited space, they had to position their station in a tree to establish direct communication with the receiving station at the rear. This photograph was taken at the 2nd Corps Signal School in Chatillon Sur Seine, Cote d'Or, France. Please note that this information is for official use only.
