Hewas baptized and confirmed Nov. 26,1916, by Hyrum Kidman at Collin-ston; ordained an Elder Aug. 11, 1918,by Bishop Race A. Johnson, at Beaver;married Lottie Lorenzo Rucker , 1918, in the Salt Lake Temple,which union has been blessed withsix children, namely, Robert Carleton,Margaret, William Bethel, Leona,. Naomi and Elizabeth. Brother Potteracted as second assistant superintend-ent of the Collinston Sunday school,and on March 4, 1923, he was ordaineda High Priest by Arthur R. Capenerand set apart as second counselor toBishop Johnson of the Beaver Ward,which position he held until Nov. 10,1929, when he was ordained a Bishopby Apostle Richard R. Lyman andset apart to preside over said ward,which position he now occupies.
