Relocation of the night watch to the south wing (photo series B). On December 11, 2003, the night watch of Rembrandt was transferred to the south wing in connection with the renovation of the main building. During this operation, the canvas was removed from the list, packed, hung in a wooden frame and driven on a cart over the street to the other wing. There the whole was uppercuttered and brought into the building through a special slot. On the photo the coffin hangs in the hoists at the level of the south facade of the library (left).
