The Vasa Monument at Siljan's beach was inaugurated in 19893. The stone was erected in memory of Gustav Vasa, who here at Rättvik's church for the first time urged the Dalkarlarna to fight against the Danes. The year was 1520. On 12 smaller stones are the names of some of the people who helped Gustav Vasa. Vasamonumentet vid Siljans strand invigdes år1893.
