Chalk military badges, Fovant Down, Wiltshire, 2015. Badges of the 6th Battalion City of London Regiment and Australian Imperial Force. British Army units waiting to be shipped to the Western Front during the First World War carved their regimental badges into the chalk hillsides of Wiltshire while garrisoned nearby.
