The winding gear or headgear at Washington F pit museum, north east England, UK

Washington F pit was first sunk in 1777 and barring a period when the workings became flooded in the late 18th century, operated until 1968. The winding house and winding gear have been preserved as a working museum, but it is now driven by electricity, rather than steam.
