Muybridge (American, born England, 1830 - 1904) was important for his pioneering work in photographic studies of motion and in motion-picture projection. He also took many famous photographs in Yosemite Valley. His 13-part 360 degree photographic panorama of San Francisco was famous and presented to the wife of Leland Stanford.
