The march has followed the iconic itinerary of the performative action in Madrid in the 90s of 'Carrying', by the artist Pepe Espaliú. POSITIVE PRIDE proposes the deployment of a series of public actions to call attention to the persistence of stigma and discrimination associated with HIV after more than four decades of pandemic and to value 40 years of activism and resilience. PRIDE+ was born from and for people living with HIV and who have participated in all the actions and activities of the project, from its design to its materialization. PRIDE+ is articulated around 4 axes of action: Cultural, sports, educational and protest, the latter being the transversal axis that supports it and gives it meaning. All the activities will take place during the autumn of 2022 in Madrid, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the founding of the State Coordinator for HIV and AIDS (Cesida), the entity promoting the project.
