Far richer is a piece ofsculpture at Shapur, in which more tlian a hundred figures, manyon horseback, are seen, bringing weapons, wreaths, and drinking-utensils. In the vicinity, the king is fashioned, full length, in astatue nearly twenty-two feet in height, standing before a grotto(Figs. 71, 72).
