VAAC (Vectored-Thrust Aircraft Advance Flight Control) Harrier jump jet on display at Yeovilton Airday 2008.

Vectored-Thrust Aircraft Advance Flight Control - first flown in 1969 this is the oldest airworthy twin-seat Harrier flying anywhere in the world. It began life as a conventional Harrier T2 but in the 1980's was modified with the addition of a fly-by-wire system which allowed it to perform the first ever landing on a ship by STOVL (Short Take-Off Vertical Landing) aircraft without a pilot - achieved in 2005. A very rare aircraft.
