Antennal scape of <$ with ventral plaque situated above the middle. Two species certainly belong to this group: asperulus and lamiicidus Kerrich (1963: 361-363), the latter described from Nigeria. Provisionally a third species, diplosidis, is placed here although it may be a discordant element.
