Granada, Colorado - The World War II Amache Japanese internment camp in southeast Colorado. More than 7,000 Japanese and Japanese-Americans were held at the site, one of 10 internment camps in the American west. Though all the buildings were demolished after the war, many foundations remain. A guard tower has been reconstructed.
