Ivan Bunin, Russian author, late 1890s. Bunin (1870-1953) was a short story writer and novelist. He was not a supporter of the Bolsheviks and left Russia after the Revolution, settling in Grasse in the South of France in 1919. In 1933 Bunin became the first Russian winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Found in the collection of the State Museum of AS Pushkin, Moscow.
